Description
The Machine Operator is responsible for maintaining, controlling, and operating machines and equipment that are used in the manufacturing in a safe and proficient manner.
- Experience in corrugated industry is a must.
- Basic computer skills are a must.
- Safety dedication is unconditional.
- Print experience is a big plus.
- Career corrugated manufacturing history is a big plus.
- Sets up and operates machine.
- Observes, monitors, and adjusts machine as necessary
- Positions, adjusts, and feeds material manually to complete orders.
- Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
- Evaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed
- Selects the appropriate tools to maximize efficiency and ensure quality of product
- Works from and in accordance with specifications and design criteria including but not limited to verbal instructions, work orders, and drawings.
Responsibilities
- Must be highly organized and able to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
- Ability to speak English to communicate clearly with supervisors and managers.
- Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
- Corrugated industry experience a plus
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
- Basic computer skills are a must.
- Safety dedication is unconditional.
- Print experience is a big plus.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process, procedures, and machinery a plus
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 40 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothing and jewelry are not permitted.
